Science Image FLOW 2 format converter/scaler
The FLOW 2 converts 1 channel of 12G-SDI or HDMI 4K60 to any user-defined format in the range from HD to 4K60 and outputs it via the SDI and HDMI output. The up-down conversion of 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0, currently supports 35 SMPTE standard formats and the PAL/NTSC standard.
The 1.3-inch OLED display shows the status and menu. The scroll wheel button is used to set functions directly, e.g. output format, optical transceiver mode, SDI/HDMI input selection, audio mixer, etc., without accessing the web UI.
Optical connection function and flexible application options
The FLOW 2 has a port for an optical transceiver (GBIC). This allows 2 devices to be connected over up to 20 km and a signal to be transmitted latency-free.
UpdownCross Convert
The FLOW 2 has a built-in format converter that currently supports 35 SMPTE formats (SD to UHD). It outputs the respective input signal converted to SDI and HDMI simultaneously.
Compatibility and stability

Up/down/cross conversion
The device has a total of 27 formats of HD to UHD up-down conversion, the maximum support is 3840x2160p60, the output format is arbitrarily set by the user. It supports 12G-SDI / HDMI 4K60 and the following SDI / HDMI mutual conversion and loop out.
Optical transceiver
Provides a 12G-SDI optical transceiver interface, which can transmit and receive 3G/6G/12G-SDI or HDMI 4K video for long-distance transmission; Web UI has an optical transceiver switch, and users can choose between HDMI optical transceiver or SDI optical transceiver; the maximum transmission distance supports 20KM. Selection of the priority of the HDMI/SDI input source:
If the SDI and HDMI interfaces have different input sources at the same time, the user can set the default priority of the HDMI or SDI input.
External audio embedding
Provides an analog 3.5 mm R/L audio channel for embedding external audio signals in NDI during encoding.
Firmware upgrade and protection
Use the Web UI upgrade function to increase the firmware protection, which can be compatible with upper and lower versions. If the firmware is not correct, the system refuses to upgrade, the risk of upgrade failure is eliminated.
