Kiloview N50 is a full-featured NDI converter utilizing the leading FPGA technologies, advanced AVC/HEVC algorithm and NDI algorithm. It supports encoding/decoding in one device.
The N50 supports encoding/decoding of the 12G-SDI format for both NDI High-bandwidth and NDI|HX2/3 with H.264/H.265.
Encoding & decoding with ultra-low latency
In encode mode, the N50 easily converts a 4K 12G-SDI video signal to an NDI or NDI|HX stream.
In decode mode, it automatically adapts the NDI and NDI|HX format to the requirements of your end.
The N50 easily handles your NDI transmission with a low latency of less than 80 ms.
Professional-level color performance
The N50 supports the professional YCbCr 4:2:2 color space and a color depth of 10 bits (the usual 8-bit color depth is also available).
The N50 offers higher color and image quality that meets the high standards of the broadcast and medical industries.
Large LCD color screen and scroll wheel
As the 12G-SDI version of the Kiloview N60, the N50 is equally focused on the user experience.
The N50 is equipped with a large color LCD screen that allows the user to check the device parameters anytime, anywhere. It can also be used as a large tally display and works in conjunction with the small tally display on the rear panel, allowing all personnel in the field to check PVW or PGM status in real time.
The scroll wheel allows users to adjust settings, turn on/off, set shortcuts and control all video sources with superior ease.
USB extension
N50 has both a USB 3.0 Type-A and a USB 3.0 Type-C interface:
- Access to a webcam via USB 3.0 Type-A as a video input source for encoding
- Connection to a PC via USB 3.0 Type-C as USB video input
- Controlling a PTZ camera via a USB extension
Users can achieve unlimited possibilities with USB extensions by seamlessly utilizing NDI technology in applications such as video conferencing, image processing and PTZ camera control.
Audio and intercom
The N50 supports embedded 12G-SDI audio and analog 3.5 mm audio encoding/decoding.
It supports an extended USB audio interface (e.g. USB headset) to realize an end-to-end real-time intercom between the operators of Kiloview devices and the associated Kiloview Intercom System (KIS) group.
PTZ control
The N50 supports PTZ control via USB and serial RS-232/RS-485/RS-422.
It also adopts network control protocols (such as Sony Visca/PELCO-D/PELCO-P) for external PTZ control.
Power supply: PoE and DC
The N50 has 2 Ethernet interfaces, one of which supports PoE（IEEE 802.3AT）power supply.
Simply connect a network cable and you can easily access both power supply and network transmission.
It also supports 12-volt DC power supply and can easily power the device with a portable charger or camera battery.
TF storage
The N50 offers a TF storage extension that makes it easy for you to record NDI videos directly to a TF card (local recording supports MOV format).
TF storage prevents video images from being lost during recording due to network delays, network interruptions or fluctuations.
Central management with Kilolink Server
The N50 can seamlessly connect to the KiloLink server, which optimizes media transfer through all Kiloview products over all available network connections.
This helps to manage, monitor and control all devices throughout the process.
