What is the Chaos Corona Renderer?

Key features in Corona for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D
Corona Tile Map
With the Corona Tile Map, you can easily create stunning bathrooms, kitchens, walls and floors with procedural tiles.
Now you can use bitmaps or procedural maps to define the colors of the tiles or to repeat, randomize or even "pixelate" an image on the tiles - depending on your needs.
The Corona MappingRandomizer and the MultiMap now have a "by tile id" mode. This allows you to randomize the results for each tile if desired. I.e. control of color, gloss, bump, shift and much more.
Scatter Altitude
Define upper and lower limits for the scattering to create more realistic and captivating nature scenes with the scattering height. For example, you can set upper and lower limits for the tree line and water line and scatter some clouds around mountain peaks without affecting the lower part of the scene.

Edge Map/Edge Shader
Edge Map/Edge Shader makes it easy to apply effects such as weathering and coloring to the edges of objects. This is particularly useful for objects without thickness such as leaves, photos, paper, etc.
The new Edge Map/Edge Shader creates a color gradient based on how far a point is from a geometric edge.
Pyro
Add an extra layer of action to your scenes with smoke, fire and other simulations thanks to Pyro. With the new Pyro support, you no longer need to run the simulation, export it to OpenVDB and then import it back into the scene. Corona now does this seamlessly directly in Cinema 4D.
Corona Power Tools
Corona 11 for 3ds Max includes a series of practical scripts, the so-called Corona Power Tools, with which repetitive and time-consuming design adjustments can be accelerated.
With the "Replace selection" tool, for example, you can easily replace a series of similar objects with others (e.g. chairs in a room).
Further improvements
The improved normal/bump filtering reduces the loss of detail in these channels that can result from using a lower render resolution or moving an object at a greater distance from the camera.
Experience improved results with the new Intel Denoiser, which is now compatible with CPU or GPU and no longer requires NVIDIA GPUs.
Users can now take advantage of the color management options in the latest versions of Cinema 4D and 3ds Max.
Corona 11 for Cinema 4D also has an improved lister function
The Corona product family has been simplified by adapting the licensing to Chaos' new product and pricing structure.
Corona is now a multi-platform license that can be used with both Cinema 4D and 3ds Max. In addition, Corona is now also available in the two "expansion levels" Solo and Premium as a monthly and annual subscription.
Chaos Corona Solo
For users who only want to use Corona on one computer, Solo is the best choice in terms of price/performance ratio. This single-user Corona license can be used with Cinema 4D or 3ds Max for rendering on one computer. Access to Chaos Cosmos with its high-quality 3D objects is also included in the price.
Chaos Corona Premium
The Corona Premium version includes a floating license that can be installed on multiple computers and used with Cinema 4D and 3ds Max on a first-come, first-served basis. The Premium version also includes the additional products Phoenix, Player and Scans, as well as the use of the Chaos Cosmos 3D library.
New Corona licenses will only be offered as subscriptions
Subscriptions offer users the advantage that they are always automatically up to date with the latest software version without having to purchase updates. Permanent (boxed) licenses are no longer available.
