The Kiloview N40 4K HDMI/NDI converter is a bidirectional converter that supports a 4K HDMI video input (encoder) to Full-NDI with 4K HDMI loop through for display on the monitor or a 4K HDMI video output (decoder) from Full-NDI.
Equipped with powerful features such as PoE, built-in large tally light, PTZ control, 3.5mm audio microphone input/output, multi-channel audio, intercom functions, the N40 is a great choice to access the NDI world.
Why NDI?
The NDI protocol is a high-performance standard that enables anyone to use real-time video with extremely low latency in existing IP video networks.
NDI webcam input
With the free NDI® webcam input tool, you can easily set Kiloview NDI encoders as a video input source in popular desktop video applications such as Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, Skype, Skype for Business, WebEx, Zoom, Teams and others.
Real 4K
With an HDMI 2.0 interface, the N40 supports a 4Kp60 video input and converts it to Full NDI and Loop Through for monitoring. At the same time, it supports a Full NDI to 4K HDMI output. It is a true 4K NDI converter for high picture quality.
NDI encoder and NDI decoder in one
This tiny device can both encode and decode NDI. By switching on the user interface, you can select the mode you need.
The encoding and decoding functions of the N40 cannot be used simultaneously.
Automatic detection of the video source
Thanks to the NDI detection server, your video can be easily found and connected by users from another network if they are registered on the corresponding server.
Audio and intercom
Kiloview N40 supports analog 3.5mm audio input/output or embedded audio. Up to 16CH audio can be supported. It also supports voice communication via USB headset between devices directly or with Kiloview Intercom Server.
Seamless switching without delay
When decoding NDI sources, there is no delay when switching the NDI output videos thanks to Kiloview technology.
Control with a USB keyboard
In decoding mode, you can preset the NDI sources from number 0-9. Connect the decoder to a USB keyboard and you can select the output source with a single keystroke.
You can also use the USB keyboard to control a PTZ camera.
PTZ control and large tally
Kiloview N40 supports PTZ control via USB and serial RS232/485/422. It also supports PTZ control via IP, no additional cable is required.
N40 has a large, bright and clear tally for the PVW/PGM display - everything you need for perfect collaboration with your team.
Power supply as required
With PoE, the N40 can be supplied with power via a single cable. Thanks to the wide DC input range of 5 V to 18 V, it can also be easily supplied with power via USB or the camera's battery.
