The Bolin D20S is a bi-directional Dante AV Ultra converter with 12G SDI input and output. It also has an HDMI output.

It transports up to UHD/4K60 4:4:4 video output with ultra-low latency and lossless quality. It supports HDCP as well as IP PTZ camera control and embedded audio and RS-RS422/IR control pass-through.

As part of the Dante Audio over IP Eco family, the D-Series decoder provides a powerful virtual video matrix routing solution using standard Gigabit Ethernet network switches and CAT5e UTP cabling for the presentation of multimedia and live camera images as well as Dante 4K video applications, e.g. for demanding conference room and classroom applications.

In conjunction with the Bolin D412/D220 DanteAV PTZ camera, the Dante AV decoder of the D-Series achieves lossless video output and extremely low latency with video and audio synchronization.

The D-Series decoder is designed to integrate seamlessly into an existing Dante audio ecosystem. It is managed with the Dante Controller software and offers the flexibility to route audio and video independently with sub-microsecond accuracy to minimize timing issues.

Lossless picture with extremely low codec latency

Bolin's D-Series decoder transports up to UHD/4K60 4:4:4 video output with extremely low latency and lossless quality.

The D-Series decoder contains an optimized implementation of the popular JPEG2000 codec in the FPGA, which delivers a visually perfect, lossless image at 4K60 with a codec latency of 10 ms.

100% synchronized video and audio

The DanteAV D-Series decoders have integrated Dante's sub-microsecond synchronization for video and audio. A single Dante network clock keeps the camera video in sync, regardless of the number of endpoints, making the problem of lip-sync a thing of the past.

HDMI output supports EDID

The D10H provides a decoded picture for output via HDMI 2.0 that supports EDID. The integrated high-performance scaling engine enables upscaling and downscaling of the encoded source for a wide range of UHD and HD resolutions to meet the different capabilities and requirements of sources, displays, codecs and other devices.

Remote control and monitoring

The D-Series has an integrated serial interface (RS-422) that can be used for PTZ joystick control via Dante Serial Over IP with the Visca protocol. It also has IR over IP for controlling connected displays or other devices.

DanteAV decoder in combination with Bolin D412/D220 DanteAV PTZ camera

Together with the Bolin D412/D220 DanteAV PTZ camera or as a standard DanteAV decoder, the D-Series decoder integrates into the Dante Audio over IP platform using a standard 1 Gbps network. With a variety of Dante control interfaces, support for Dante Device Protocol, packet bridging, AES67 and video and HDCP encryption and professional onboard scaling, the D10 can seamlessly connect a DanteAV product with networked control to the growing ecosystem of Dante AV and Dante Audio enabled products.

Multi-screen video display routing

The Dante AV Decoder receives the signal from a DanteAV PTZ camera or encoder and passes it to a display device via the HDMI and/or 12G-SDI output. Using familiar Dante controller software, the decoder can quickly and easily switch between multiple DanteAV endpoints, including cameras or encoders on the network, without the need for breakouts or matrix switches, to display the video on any number of screens and make the video available to the video router system.

Implementation of HDCP 2.2 encryption

Complies with the latest HDCP 2.2 specification for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Enables the transmission of protected content streams between authenticated devices.

Supports Dante controller

Full setup, control and monitoring of the device is enabled by the Dante Controller, which provides standard Dante features such as automatic device discovery and system configuration, making network setup a simple plug-and-play experience.

Always up to date

Firmware updates, update via the IP interface of the Dante controller to keep the functions and performance of the decoder up to date.

Audio formats, Dante audio over IP, AES67 RTP

The Dante AV decoder of the D-Series supports AES67-compatible network audio streams from encoders and audio interfaces. The received Dante audio streaming or AES67 audio stream can be combined with the video and then output via the HDMI output.

Two Ethernet connections and POE

The Dante D-Series AV decoder has two RJ-45 1000BASE-T ports that can be used to transmit video over a Gigabit Ethernet network. Port 1 is used for the primary connection to the Dante network and port 2 can be used for daisy chaining to other endpoints. Port 1 can also be supplied with power.

USB HID and USB OTG

USB control over IP, which can be switched and routed together with the AV signal or separately via a control system, enables the use of a USB mouse and/or keyboard to control a remote computer via the Dante network. USB On The Go (OTG) for keyboard and mouse
