Internal Reference :

The Bolin D20H is a bi-directional Dante AV Ultra converter with HDMI input and output. It also has an HDMI loop output.

It converts up to UHD/4K60 4:4:4 video with ultra-low latency and lossless quality. It supports HDCP as well as IP PTZ camera control and embedded audio and RS-RS422/IR control pass-through.

As part of the Dante Audio over IP Eco family, the D-Series decoder provides a powerful virtual video matrix routing solution using standard Gigabit Ethernet network switches and CAT5e UTP cabling for the presentation of multimedia and live camera images as well as Dante 4K video applications, e.g. for demanding conference room and classroom applications.

Powered by DanteAV™ module

The Bolin D20 series transceiver, a Dante AV encoder/decoder, is powered by the DanteAV™
module. It enables lossless video and IP video streaming with extremely low latency and perfect video and audio synchronization.

The D20 Series transceiver is designed to integrate seamlessly into an existing Dante audio ecosystem and is managed via the Dante Controller software to minimize time alignment issues.

Dante Ecosystem friendly
  • immediate compatibility with over 3000 existing Dante-enabled products.
  • Unified control of camera audio and video with familiar tools - Dante Controller Software.
  • No need to replace the network infrastructure. Dante AV works with already installed, cost-effective 1Gbps network devices.
  • Uses Dante controllers and endpoints so you can easily check the routing of video and audio control with the click of a mouse.
JPEG 2000 from intoPIX enables Dante AV:
  • Creation of 4K multiscreen environments in which audio can be routed to any location
  • Perfect lip sync for live presentations with video thanks to ultra-low latency
  • Easy deployment and management of video walls at lower cost thanks to the use of Cat 5e cables and switches
  • Simplify the installation and use of conference rooms that combine video and audio media.

Lossless picture with extremely low codec latency

Bolin's D-Series decoder transports up to 4K60 4:4:4 video output with extremely low latency and lossless quality.

The D-Series decoder contains an optimized implementation of the popular JPEG2000 codec in the FPGA, which delivers a visually perfect, lossless image at 4K60 with a codec latency of 10 ms.

100% synchronized video and audio

The D20 Series DanteAV transceiver has integrated Dante's sub-microsecond synchronization for video and audio. The Dante network clock keeps the camera video in sync regardless of the number of endpoints, making lip-sync issues a thing of the past.

HDMI output supports EDID and HDCP content protection
  • The D20 series decoder delivers decoded images via the HDMI 2.0 port with EDID support. The integrated high-performance scaling engine provides a scalable encoded source for a wide range of UHD and HD resolutions to meet the varying capabilities and requirements of sources, displays, codecs and other devices.
  • D20 series encoders and decoders support HDCP 2.2 (HDCP 2.3 over the network) to protect digital content.
HDMI and SDI dual output

In addition to the HDMI 2.0 video output, the D20S features Bolin's video processor to simultaneously provide a 12G-SDI output format for broadcast workflows.

Remote control and monitoring

The D20 series has a built-in serial interface (RS-422) that enables joystick control of PTZ cameras via Dante Serial Over IP using the Visca protocol. The D20 series also supports the IR-over-IP function for controlling connected displays, PTZ cameras and other devices.
In combination with the Bolin DanteAV PTZ camera D412/D220, the D20 series as a decoder supports camera control and configuration via the Visca over IP protocol from the PTZ controller.

Features
Unicast and multicast for video display routing

In conjunction with a Dante AV decoder, it receives the signal from a DanteAV PTZ camera or encoder and routes it to a display device via the HDMI and/or 12G-SDI output. Using familiar Dante controller software, the decoder can quickly and easily switch between multiple DanteAV endpoints, including cameras or encoders on the network, without the need for breakouts or matrix switches, to display the video via unicast or multicast to any number of screens and video router systems.

Implementation of HDCP 2.2 encryption

Complies with the latest HDCP 2.2 (HDCP 2.3 for networks) specification for Highbandwidth Digital Content Protection. Enables the transmission of protected content streams between authenticated devices.

Supports Dante controller

Full setup, control and monitoring of the device is enabled by the Dante Controller, which provides standard Dante features such as automatic device discovery and system configuration, making network setup a simple plug-and-play experience.

Always up to date

Firmware updates, update via the IP interface of the Dante controller to keep the functions and performance of the decoder up to date.

Audio formats, Dante Audio over IP

The Dante AV transceiver of the D20 series supports Dante-compatible networked audio streams from encoders and audio interfaces. The received Dante audio streaming can be combined with the video and then output via the HDMI output.

Two Ethernet connections and POE

The Dante D20 Series AV transceiver has two RJ-45 1000BASE-T ports that can be used to transmit video over a Gigabit Ethernet network. Port 1 for the primary connection to the Dante network and port 2 can be used for daisy chaining to other endpoints. Port 1 is also capable of receiving power via POE++.

USB HID and USB OTG

USB control over IP, which can be switched and routed together with the AV signal or separately via a control system, enables the use of a USB mouse and/or keyboard to control a remote computer via the Dante network. USB On The Go (OTG) for keyboard and mouse
